Michael Ohlsen has been with the Florida
Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) since 1996, having joined the
Florida Energy Office in 2004. He is responsible for developing policy,
managing projects, handling technical
inquiries and conducting outreach and education related to renewable energy and energy
efficiency. His previous duties focused on pollution prevention, recycling and
solid waste management. Michael’s education includes an MS in Industrial Engineering from
the University of Tennessee and a BS in Electrical Engineering from
Cornell University.
